SF Call Center Represents 45th Construction Project Bob Moore Construction Completes
for CMC - Commercial Realty Group
ARLINGTON,
TEXAS - August 20, 2007 - In 2006 CIGNA Corporation made the decision to consolidate
its Denison, Texas operations into one new facility. Their tenant representative,
CB Richard Ellis, retained CMC - Commercial Realty Group as their developer for
a new building in Denison.
"The City of Denison was outstanding in this process," said Steve Huff, Senior Vice President for CMC. Their economic development people were very helpful in overcoming obstacles to doing this. Through our work with them we were able to put together a package that included no cost for the real estate, tax abatements, actual cash incentives and bringing utilities to the site. Because of what we were able to negotiate with the city we were able to offer a superior building that was still cost effective."
"We had extensive meetings with the client to understand what they wanted to carry over from their existing call center facilities and what their needs were," added Salil Gaitonde, Vice President for CMC. "They needed a site design to sustain their employee base, a large, efficient operations center consolidated in one building that was as cost-efficient as possible."
CMC retained Hardy McCullah/MLM Architects as the design firm and Bob Moore Construction to serve as general contractor. "We didn't even really consider anyone else as general contractor," said Salil. "We always know, at the end of the day, Bob Moore Construction will do the best job."
The
completed project is a dramatic two story office building and call center in Denison,
Texas, located just south of the Texas / Oklahoma border in Grayson County. The
facility was built using tilt-up construction. The exterior features a dramatic,
two-story radiused glass curtainwall entrance and parking for 1,000 vehicles.
The interior is finished in a high-end modern design style, with multi-colored
walls and branding throughout the building. The building includes two elevators,
a full commercial kitchen and cafeteria, dining facilities that convert into a
large teleconference facility, networked training rooms and a workout room with
connected shower and dressing rooms. The majority of the building is comprised
of offices, conference rooms and call center facilities.
"Hardy McCullah came up with a great plan with stone accents, painted walls and glass entrance, a rich look and feel to it," said Steve. "The tenants' feedback has been phenomenal. The finishes and grade of product are far superior to what they were used to, and it has the kitchen, dining and workout facilities as well. They didn't have those things before so they were very excited with it. The building turned out well beyond our expectations and it was on time and on budget. Bob Moore has a great staff with Ed McGuire (Vice President of Construction), Stacy Langston (Superintendent) and Matt Bauer (Project Manager). Greg Holland (Construction Coordinator) came in and did a fantastic job to finish it up. I don't think we've had a project go better from start to finish."
Salil agreed. "We're
very proud of the CIGNA building," he said. The job Bob Moore Construction
did was amazing, as always. We feel that it's a good building to showcase in our
portfolio. Ed McGuire was very hands-on in directing the project. We feel very
fortunate to have Ed in this. To have someone at his level at every project meeting,
that says a lot about Bob Moore Construction's attention to us as a customer."
The
CIGNA building was the 45th successful collaboration between CMC and Bob Moore
Construction in a business relationship that spans a quarter century.
"We
take such pride in the partnership we've built with CMC - Commercial Realty Group,"
said Ed McGuire, Vice President of Construction for Bob Moore Construction. "We
worked with Subash Gaitonde and Jesse Pruitt even before they founded CMC in 1990.
Over the years we've worked with Steve Huff and Salil Gaitonde as well, and what
we have found is that the consistent hallmark of our projects with CMC has been
professionalism. CMC team members are development experts who understand the process
and know how to work together to complete the project successfully. We look forward
to our projects with CMC because we know we will be able to work so well with
them to deliver a quality building. It's a great way to do business that serves
everyone involved, and the approach CMC brings to the process plays a huge role
in us being able to do that."
"I've worked with Ed for ten
to 12 years," said Steve. "We're practically joined at the hip - we
can talk to each other frankly if we need to. Because we've worked together for
a long time, we understand how each other works and operates. What we've established
with Bob Moore Construction is our ability to deal with complications that arise
on a job site. We've always enjoyed a strong relationship and we'll enjoy that
relationship for years to come."
