Jason Cole Earns LEED Accredited Professional Certification

Bob Moore Construction Team Member Earns Accreditation for LEED Rating Systems from U.S. Green Building Council

Jason Cole, LEED AP for Bob Moore ConstructionARLINGTON, TEXAS - April 14, 2008 - Bob Moore Construction's Jason Cole has earned his certification as a LEED Professional Accreditation through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

The USGBC's LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

LEED is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings, providing building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings' performance.

LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) are those industry experts who have demonstrated their knowledge of the LEED Rating Systems through successful completion of certification testing. LEED APs have the knowledge and expertise to facilitate the integrated design process and streamline LEED certification for their projects.

Jason Cole earned his LEED AP certification after participating in the US Green Building Council's north Texas chapter study group in Dallas. Along with this certification, Jason's industry involvement includes his memberships in the North Texas chapter of USGBC and QUOIN, the north and east Texas chapter of AGC, where he currently serves as Vice Chair of QUOIN's Young Constructors Council.

"Our formal involvement with the LEED AP program and the US Green Building Council is a natural next step for Bob Moore Construction, "Jason said. "Over the past several years we've delivered a wide range of environmental enhancements with many of our projects. Some of those have included creative engineering to facilitate rainwater recapturing and recycling and powerful stormwater retention systems for buildings near high-pollution settings and recycling of materials removed during demolition, for example. We have an established track record of green and environmentally friendly construction practices.

"My status as a LEED AP and our membership with the USGBC takes our efforts to the next level," Jason added. "Now we can expand our environmental practices and services offered, formalize our efforts with the appropriate documentation and deliver buildings that capitalize on environmental efficiencies and various financial incentives offered by state and local communities. We will be helping our clients to improve their bottom lines over the life cycles of the buildings and to serve the larger good of operating environmentally responsible facilities, which benefit everyone."
